Expedition Albarracín- 3 Day trip
Jump aboard the Expedition Costa Blanca bus for a cozy and exhilarating 3-day escape to the medieval town of Albarracín. We'll journey at the perfect time to enjoy the winter charm of this picturesque town without the crowds and with crisp, fresh air to accompany our hikes.
Cost - €300 per person or €250 if sharing a room
Limited spaces - 7 participants, along with our driver Jay and guide Andy
Our hikes range from gentle to moderate difficulty, offering scenic views, rich history, and time to relax by a warm fire after a day’s adventure.
Day 1: Friday
Departure - 9:00 AM from Costa Blanca
Travel to Albarracín, with a relaxing 3.5-hour journey through the countryside, making pickups in Alicante, Altea, and Ondara.
Arrive in Albarracín around midday and check into the historic Hotel Albarracín. Rooms are available in single or twin occupancy.
Afternoon Hike: Mirador del Cabrerizo – Peñas Royas
- Distance: 5 km round trip
- Elevation Gain: 200 meters
- A scenic trail with breathtaking views of Albarracín from above. The perfect introduction to the area’s natural beauty before returning to the hotel to unwind.
After the hike, relax back at the hotel by the fire with a warm mug of hot cocoa.
Day 2: Saturday
Morning Hike: Barranco Mingo Marco and La Hoz
- Distance: 8–10 km
- Elevation Gain: 350 m
- This scenic hike winds through the stunning Barranco Mingo Marco and La Hoz canyons, with dramatic views and unique rock formations.
Return to town for lunch (not included).
Afternoon Walk: Guided Town Walk of Albarracín
- Distance: 2 km
- Elevation Gain: Minimal
- We’ll stroll through Albarracín’s medieval streets, discovering landmarks like the Cathedral of El Salvador and the Plaza Mayor.
Relax with some free time or warm up by the fire back at the hotel.
Dinner out at a local restaurant (not included).
Day 3 Wednesday
Breakfast, Check-Out, and Depart for Chulilla
Arrive in Chulilla mid-morning for a memorable hike on the famous hanging bridges trail.
Hike: Hanging Bridges of Chulilla (Ruta de los Pantaneros)
- Distance: 10 km circular route
- Elevation Gain: 300 meters
- This trail leads us over two breathtaking hanging bridges spanning the turquoise Turia River, along scenic canyons, and through rocky pathways.
Post-hike lunch in Chulilla (not included).
Depart for Costa Blanca, returning by early evening. (18:30h)

Yes, we limit the group to 6 participants, along with our guide and driver, to ensure a personal and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We’re a hiking group, so a little rain won’t put us off! There’s no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing—bring waterproof layers to stay comfortable. We’ll monitor the forecast and adjust plans as needed. In severe weather, we’ll arrange alternate activities to keep the trip enjoyable.
